He directed this lab from 2002 to 2013 and is now leading the French network of bioarchaeology, and the Laboratory of Excellence entitled 'Natural and cultural diversities: origins, evolution, interactions, future'. He has led archaeological excavations in Corsica and Cyprus, including now the PPNA site of Klimonas. He has analysed numerous Mesolithic, Neolithic, and Bronze Age faunal assemblages, and developed numerous research projects about the impact of anthropization, the origins of commensalism, and the beginning of animal domestication and husbandry in the Mediterranean and Central Asia.)
